Wrap up
Bob here - it’s 3:55 am, and I’ve decided to leave the remaining group to turn in. The wonderful thing about the connections people are making here………
ok, Cat here, Bob fell asleep writing this post!
Needless to say, that it was a great time and the friendships we have all made will last forever.
Everyone is talking about PAB 2007, so if you were not here, start figuring out how you will get to it next year, this was the best Canadian conference ever!

Excellent!! Thanks to everyone who did their part to make it a so successful - and especially so much dam fun! And a special thanks to Andy Doan for teaching several of us the proper pinch and roll - just before we were thrown out of the bar.

It was truly inspiring, encouraging, fun and well … just damn cool to be there! Thanks to all who were there, but especially the people who organized the event for a time the participants will probably never forget.

Just got home a couple of hours ago, tended to the neglected cats and soon to the neglected lawn.
It was FANTASTIC to meet everyone at the conference! It was such an intense and wonderful experience. Thanks again Bob, Mark & Cat for your amazing work. Also thanks everyone for the big support of Uncle Seth & Dala at the Merch, we all appreciate it SO much!
Will be uploading some show images to flickr soon along with some other stuff… you’ll see.
Seeya soon!

We had a great time. Hopefully we can come next year. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Oh, and thanks for the birthday wishes…..
Our trip home was uneventful until just north of Parry Sound there was a bad head on collision (they can’t 4 lane that ighway soon enough for my liking). We are home now though, the boy is in bed, Maddie, Isa and I are online and all is well.
Now to get to all the damned audio I recorded in the car…..
Oh if you haven’t check out Isabelee amd my live reports on Jamespod. We had a lot of fun doing them.

It was so amazing meeting you all (even if I was too busy writing your names down) Maybe next year we will have them printed ahead of time, so I can really chat with you more.
You all made it a success, it was not just Bob and Mark (and a bit me)

James Whittingham has released a series of great PAB “almost live” reports, using double-agents Isabelle and Dave (Broca’s Area). The reports are both informative and absolutely hillarious!

Thanks all around, I cannot remember meeting so many like-minded people whose genuine interests are in the advancement of the thing that unites us. The money-stuff becomes secondary in a group of people pushing to make a sometimes thankless medium not just survive, but shine. This opportunity to get into the heads of some of you was precious to both Shane and I, and we look forward to next year. We just wished more of you would’ve signed the Squeezebox. By the way, is it just me or are podcasters WAY cooler than you expected? I haven’t laughed like that since…well…never.
Thanks to the attendees and Mark, Bob, Cat, and Tod for being down-to-earth and more approachable/accessable than I thought possible.
Know that you should be proud for being the nerd-glue that has bonded a crew of relatively willy-nilly e-connections. You’ve made the opportunity for friendships to be forged. I know I made several. Thank you, genuinely, for everything.

Add another congrats to the list! I got home a while ago and got stuck mowing the lawn. Oh well… After leaving the Pier 1 group at about 3:30 am, I rode north to my bed and the fog was amazing with my highbeam. I had to stop roadside and record a summary on my iRiver - listen for it soon.
Way to go guys, it was an awesome event and I can’t wait to ride to the next one!

What a great event! You guys should be so proud of what you accomplished. It was great meeting everyone. Although I hope next year there is a bit more estrogen in the room
I’ll also have to remember to start drinking earlier so I’ll have the courage to mingle more…that part was a little intimidating. See you in 2007!

Everyone, I had fun. But most of all I had a chance to put faces to podcasts, so that’s always great. Didn’t get a chance to meet everyone, but for those who I did meet, I’m glad that I can add a few more podcasters to my growing network.
Cat, Mark & Bob, wonderful job. Looking forward to PAB2007.

You guys all rule. Actually being able to stay out until 1 AM was a milestone in early parenting. Heather and I haven’t been out like that in a long time, she was bummed she couldn’t drink…but what can ya do with another bun in the oven!
It was truly an amazing time meeting you guys. I had a really great time, and got a lot out of the speakers and the chats between.
Thanks to everyone!

Thanks for inviting us; we had a blast. As I was saying to Cathi, at conferences, it’s usually a challenge to get people to talk. It’s a testament to the energy and enthusiasm of podcasters that everyone was so full of opinions, questions, and go-to-itiveness.

This weekend I attended the Podcasters Across Borders conference in my old academic haunt of Kingston, Ontario. It was great to get to meet all these podcasters; there were 80 or so attendees, mostly Canadian, but a few from the US as well. In attendan…

Looks like it was a terrific time! Thanks for posting all the pics, especially for those with the tags so I can find out who I missed meeting. I’ll be sure to attend next year. Thanks for organizing this Mark and Bob. It looks like it was a real boost for the Canadian podcasting community.

I enjoyed meeting everyone too!
I must say, though, all the talk of PAB’07 is making me wonder if our basement will ever get its long-postponed cleanup ;0)
