(It looks like there is a trend there, I have a severe sore throat and have heard of two other PAB attendees with similar ailments.)

I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everybody for their outpouring of generosity and concern when my camera went missing. I merely asked Cat if she would make a brief announcement to see if anyone might have seen the camera, (which was left on a table the night before). The next thing I knew, and before I could stop it, a collection was taken up and almost three hundred dollars raised in a matter of minutes to replace the camera. This was a little premature, as I still had not heard back from the front desk where it might have been turned in. And a little embarrassing especially because it was only a $130 camera. But mostly it was extremely humbling to be the recipient of this spontaneous outpouring of caring from my fellow podcasters.

I'm so glad that the money was able to go to support the community that made us feel so welcome, and I am extremely proud of the PAB community for their generosity.

Thank you so much for your extremely kind words, Iza. I missed having the opportunity to hang out with you at this year's conference. I'm really happy to hear that you had a great time, and that you met some great people -- that's what makes these events so great.

I hope that you're feeling better and that you had a safe and easy drive home, and that you'll be at PAB2008!

Dear Mark and Bob, This is my first free moment to let you know that I am so sorry I could not say a proper goodbye. I had a really sore throat and I was anticipating a long way back home...Jon was really cranky, so, I knew you'd understand. (Part of being a mom!) We are back home and again very happy to have met some new people, seen new faces and heard some really good talks. Especially the one about the medieval city...that was an awesome talk. mark and bob, I saw your eyes were red with lack of sleep and you worked so hard. Really I am so proud of both of you and I really hope I can see you soon again. Iza
