Good morning, PABsters. For those of you en route to Kingston today, safe travels. See you in a few hours.
We’ve updated the the PAB2008 program to reflect a minor change in the speaking program, block in the Jolt speakers and more clearly identify the recommended eateries and watering holes on the map.
The program includes the conference schedule and session descriptions, information about Kingston and recommended eateries (thanks to the Limestone New Media Group for their help) and a big thank you for our amazing sponsors.
Instead of printing the program this year, we’re making it available as a PDF download. If you would like a hardcopy, be sure to print one out for yourself.
We’ve received a few requests asking if there is still space for new registrants – largely because we accidentally set the registration tool to close yesteday.
There is still space and the registration tool has been extended to tomorrow.
We are pleased to announce that Chris Penn, Linda Mills, Julien Smith, Chris Brogan, Todd Tyrtle and Tim Coyne are all confirmed Jolt speakers for this weekend.
Chris Brogan was to be part of the video production workshop at 1pm on Friday and had to cancel because he won’t be arriving until late Friday afternoon.
In addition to some great vendor-provided technology, we will be giving away two Zoom H4 portable digital recorders during PAB2008.
Last year the community had a discussion and agreed that all PABsters qualified for the draws — participants, speakers and sponsors. We don’t remember any talk about the organizers. This led to the question: do organizers qualify for the draws (after all, we don’t get paid or keep any of the money)?
What do you think? Do organizers qualify?
