Once again, The Lord Elgin Hotel will be the “official hotel” for a PAB event. The hotel has allocated a block of 35 rooms at the unbelievable rate of CDN$115/night (plus applicable taxes and any guest-incurred charges) for registrants of PAB2011, taking place June 24-26, 2011 at the 4th Stage of the NAC.
PAB2011 registrants have the limited choice of a room with two queen beds or one king. All rooms include complimentary coffee/tea service. High speed Internet access is available for a fee. The group rate is available if you book your room before end of day May 17, 2011 or until all 50 rooms in the block are booked (whichever comes first) and can only be applied to bookings for the nights of June 24-26, 2011 by registrants of PAB2011.
Note that if you book a room at the preferred rate and cancel within seven days of the conference, you will be charged for one night’s stay in the hotel (CDN$115 plus applicable taxes).
Valet parking is available for $23/day. There are other pay parking lots nearby if you prefer.

PABsters intending to enjoy the entire weekend focused on PAB2010 and remaining offline convinced us we should extend the PAB2011 early registration period to allow for travel home from the conference. So, we’ve extended the early registration rate of CDN$120/person to 11:55pmET, July 1, 2010.
This will be your only chance to register for PAB2011 at a reduced rate.

PAB has always been the kind of conference that keeps the audience engaged. Which means updating this website during the event is not only difficult, but one of the furthest things from our minds. So, you’ll have to wait until later this week for us to regroup, share our thoughts and start publishing audio and video of the speaking sessions.
However, one very important announcement must be shared now — before it’s too late.
PAB2011 is taking place June 24-26, 2011 at The Fourth Stage of The National Arts Centre in Ottawa, Canada (the same venue as this year). You can register now at the one-time low price of CDN$120/person. This rate is only available if you register before 12pmET today (June 20).
We made that announcement yesterday afternoon and registrations started almost immediately.
Feel free to spread the word about this deal. While we don’t know yet what the full registration fee will be for next year’s conference, we do know this is the only opportunity to register at a reduced rate.

We have to close our Saturday lunch catering arrangements today. Anyone who registers AFTER 12pmET today will miss out on the catered lunch.
It’s a bit shocking to wake up this morning to realize the scheduled events of PAB2010 are done; the ideas, memories and relationships continue. Over the next few months we’ll get to see the impact of PAB through online content and real life interactions.
