Things are moving along!

Oh sure, the National Arts Centre looks quiet in this picture, but in less than 70 days it will be teeming (TEEMING I TELL YOU) with a group of people who’s awesomeness cannot be measured.

We haven’t written much here lately, but that doesn’t mean we’re not in full PAB-Prep!

The program is being put together and we should be able to announce it soon. We’re getting in touch with everyone who submitted to the let them know the status of their submissions. You may not have heard from us yet, but you will over the next few days.

Other than that, we’ve made sure the election will be over before we all converge in Ottawa, so it’ll be safe :)

We’ll have more news here in the next weeks, there’s still room to register, and we’re looking forward to seeing you in Ottawa!

Lord Elgin Hotel for PAB2011

Once again, The Lord Elgin Hotel will be the “official hotel” for a PAB event. It’s pretty much across the street from the National Arts Centre, where the event is being held. The hotel has allocated a block of  rooms at the unbelievable rate of CDN$115/night (plus applicable taxes and any guest-incurred charges) for registrants of PAB2011, taking place June 24-26, 2011 at the 4th Stage of the NAC.Lord Elgin Hotel

PAB2011 registrants have the limited choice of a room with two queen beds or one king. All rooms include complimentary coffee/tea service. High speed Internet access is available for a fee. The group rate is available if you book your room before end of day May 17, 2011 or until all rooms in the block are booked (whichever comes first) and can only be applied to bookings for the nights of June 24-26, 2011 by registrants of PAB2011.

Note that if you book a room at the preferred rate and cancel within seven days of the conference, you will be charged for one night’s stay in the hotel (CDN$115 plus applicable taxes).

Valet parking is available for $23/day. There are other pay parking lots nearby if you prefer.
