Bob here - it’s 3:55 am, and I’ve decided to leave the remaining group to turn in. The wonderful thing about the connections people are making here………
ok, Cat here, Bob fell asleep writing this post!
Needless to say, that it was a great time and the friendships we have all made will last forever.
Everyone is talking about PAB 2007, so if you were not here, start figuring out how you will get to it next year, this was the best Canadian conference ever!
No TagsIt’s hard to believe that PAB2006 is now over.
I don’t even know where to begin with my thoughts on the weekend. Maybe it’s the four hours of sleep, or maybe it’s the high I am still riding, that has made it difficult to put together some coherent thoughts on this conference.
I suppose it comes down to this… it was absolutely incredible to meet everyone that was here this weekend. Thank you so much for being a part of PAB2006.
I’m about to shower, pack and go for breakfast.
See you soon!
Mark

Let’s keep the great discussion going!
No TagsMark here, posting as Bob.
We started the day by singing a belated happy birthday to Dave Brodbeck (his birthday was yesterday and we didn’t want that to overshadow us). After a bit of housekeeping Julien explained what I meant by Medieval Alchemy and Niche Programming in the Modern Age. It was a truly interactive session.
As I write this, the room is buzzing with activity as everyone works on an excercise that is part of Cathi and Nora’s session on Planning Your Show.
Volunteers have just been called to perform an impromptu two-minute podcast.
More to come.
No TagsIt’s a beautiful morning here in Kingston. It may seem a bit less beautiful for those who got back to their rooms only a few hours ago, but it’s beautiful none the less.. Coffee helps.
Last night’s meet & greet was simply incredible, it was like old friends (who had never met each other) seeing each other after a long absence.
Shelagh’s incredible keynote really kicked us off in the right direction. The event’s got legs now, and today’s simply going to be a blast.
As of 8 o’clock this morning, there are over 90 pictures in the flickr stream there should be a few more today too. What a great way to keep track of things.
For now, it’s a coffee (or 2 or 3), and back to the conference room for day 2 of PAB!
