PAB2012 is in just 24 days. So, it’s probably as good a time as any to make the much anticipated (and much delayed) program announcements. We’re still waiting to dot the i’s and cross the t’s with a few speakers/JOLT!ers, so the list that follows is not complete. We hope to make the final program announcements and share the actual sequence/schedule this week.

Thanks a million for your patience waiting for updates on this year’s conference. We’re later than usual finalizing our plans and making announcements.
Those in the know are aware the delays were a result of me (and my family) being part of my uncle’s support network following his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer in November. He died April 26th. I needed some time to catch up on sleep and restock my energy reserves.
Bob and I are now focused on completing the program and making announcements very soon — hopefully this week. Stay tuned.

Ever since we moved PAB to Ottawa, The Lord Elgin Hotel has been the “official hotel” for PAB. Besides being a friendly and great hotel that’s treated us well, It also happens to be pretty much across the street from the National Arts Centre, where the event is being held.
PAB2012 registrants have the choice of a room with two queen beds or one king. All rooms include complimentary coffee/tea service. High speed Internet access is available for a fee. The group rate is available if you book your room before end of day May 15, 2012 or until all rooms in the block are booked (whichever comes first) and can only be applied to bookings for the nights of June 7-10, 2012 by registrants of PAB2012.
Note that if you book a room at the preferred rate and cancel within seven days of the conference, you will be charged for one night’s stay in the hotel (CDN$119 plus applicable taxes).
Valet parking is available for a fee, there are other pay parking lots nearby if you prefer.

By the way - You don’t HAVE to stay at the Lord Elgin, they’ve been good enough to set up a block of rooms and attractive rate for us, but PAB finances aren’t impacted one way or the other by where you stay.

We are confirmed at the NAC for PAB2012 on June 8,9,10 , 2012.
We are waiting to hear back from the Lord Elgin Hotel for the change to our block of rooms. We’ll let you know when we have on update on that front.
