One of the social and networking highlights for the last three PABs has been the boat cruise. Being surrounded by water for two hours offers a great opportunity for PABsters to get to know each other, showcase their musical and slam poetry talents at the open mic and include their partners and children in a weekend during which they are otherwise orphaned by social media geekdom.

This year’s boat cruise is taking place from 8pm-10pm, Saturday June 19. All PAB2010 registrants, their partners and children are invited to join us (please let us know if you plan to bring anyone along). It’s all part of the conference fee!

We’ve received a few emails from PABsters concerned that they have not registered for the boat cruise.  You don’t need to.  If you have registered to attend PAB2008, you are automatically included in the boat cruise.  You are also invited to bring along your partner/spouse and child(ren).  While there is no specific need to register your partner/spouse and child(ren), it’s handy to know how many people you will be bringing along so please send us an email (podcastersacrossborders@gmail.com) to let us know.

One of the social highlights of PAB2007 was the Friday evening boat cruise; a ninety-minute excursion of Lake Ontario on a beautiful evening.  The only complaints about the cruise were that it was too short and those who couldn’t make it to the conference until Saturday missed it.

We are happy to announce that this year’s boat cruise has been moved to Saturday evening (June 21) and we’ve made it 33.333% better by making it two hours long (8:00pm – 10:00pm).

Registrants who will be bringing their family or a partner with them to Kingston are invited to bring them along for the cruise at no extra charge.  If you fall into this category (and because there is a finite amount of space on the boat), please email podcastersacrossborders@gmail.com to reserve space for your guests.
