It’s hard to believe that we’ve all scattered for another year. PAB09 was incredible!!!

We’ll publish more about PAB09 in the coming weeks. In the meantime we wanted to make sure that we published our thank you to the entire PAB community — participants, ambassadors, speakers, friends and sponsors — for making PAB09 a major success. It’s astounding that we are all able to make each PAB better than the last.

PAB2010 will be taking place at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. We will be publishing more details after we’ve had a chance to digest everything that we learned, talked about and experienced this year. Thank you to the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront, Baldwin Audio Visual, Kingston Thousand Islands Boat Cruise Company and all of the amazing local eateries (including Forno which we overwhelmed twice in each of the last three years), coffee shops, bars and stores for being a part of the PAB experience to date.

There are just 5 days left to register for PAB2009 at the crazy-low earlybird rate of CDN$120/person. Beginning January 1, 2009, registration jumps to CDN$150/person (a bargain if there ever was one). Register now to save money and guarantee yourself a seat for the main event of 2009!

We’re also accepting speaking and JOLT proposals until January 31, 2009.

Surprise! For the last few years we’ve given ample warning for early registration and limited it to a single week. We’re all about excitement here so we’ve opened early registration, today, with no warning, for the entire month of December! You can also reserve your hotel room.

Clearing up confusion on the hotel rate

If you plan to stay at the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront as part of your Podcasters Across Borders experience, take note that the PAB rate is only applicable on Friday June 20 and Saturday June 21. Extended stays before or after PAB do not qualify for the rate. It may be necessary to make split reservations with the hotel in order to get the PAB rate for both nights.

Remember, we have a limited block of rooms available at the preferred rate. The rate is only available until May 21 or until all of the rooms are booked. Reserve early.

Let us know if you have any questions or concerns. We have a very good relationship with the hotel and can help you out if there is any confusion.
