We are in the process of finalizing the PAB2009 program. Among the delays in publishing the program is a series of changes, several of them have come about in the last week.
The first of the significant changes is with the video production workshop. IMAX Cinematographer and Director of Photography, Mark Poirier, was scheduled to conduct that workshop. Unfortunately (for us), Mark has been called away to capture the maiden flights of Boeing’s new Dreamliner on IMAX film. Our very own Paul Lyzun (who was looking forward to attending Mark’s session) is stepping in to take over the workshop.
If you’re interested in telling stories through video and you want your camcorder to produce footage that looks better, come to this session, Friday afternoon at PAB2009. Paul will cover topics including getting the most out of available light, framing the best shot, shooting for the edit, creative editing techniques and lots of other dos and don’ts that will turn surveillance footage into something watch-able. Bring your camera and any video you would like to share.
